Eva Birnerova (Peters) played tennis professionally for 16 years on the WTA Tour and was in the TOP 200 (world ranking) for many years. She played all Grand Slams in the main rounds and won a total of 3 WTA and 19 ITF titles.

She was mainly coached by her father, Stanislav Birner. Stanislav was a professional tennis player and ranked No. 60 in the world.
 
Stanislav also coached her sister Hana Birnerova, who also played the WTA Tour and is today a successful tennis coach in Nuremberg, Germany.
